Corporate Social Responsibility

At Colonia Real Estate AG, social responsibility means more than just doing good. We practice it so as to create sustainable value. For us, responsibility has multiple levels: in our varied roles as a publicly traded company, real estate operator and employer, we bear a responsibility to a broad range of target groups such as shareholders, tenants and employees. Naturally, we base our decisions on economic factors - but profit and maximization of utilization always include a responsibility to the tenants of our properties and to our employees.

Our commitment focuses on two main areas. One of these comprises specific measures relating to quality living and neighborhood development at the locations of our properties. The other is providing opportunities for the rising generation. Through cooperation with institutes of higher learning, we help to train tomorrow's managers and contribute to the body of knowledge of the real estate industry. And this also benefits our employees. We also help children who would not otherwise have a future: we support selected child welfare projects in Germany through the proceeds of our annual charity golf tournament.
